Young Living's Animal Scents™ Line And What It Can Do For Your Dogs And Horses
Many of us have experienced the wonderful benefits of essential oils in our lives, from relaxation to boosting our overall well-being. But did you know that these natural wonders can also be beneficial for our furry friends? Young Living™, a renowned essential oil company, has developed a special product line just for pets known as Animal Scents™. This unique collection includes seven essential oil blends and infused products designed to help your pets live their healthiest and happiest lives. In this blog, we will explore the Animal Scents™ product line, highlighting each product's main ingredients and offering practical tips for using them with dogs and horses.

Why did I choose Young Living™? As a dedicated advocate for holistic wellness in the care of animals, I firmly emphasize the paramount importance of utilizing pure and premium essential oils. In my view, this is the foremost safety concern when incorporating essential oils into your pet's well-being.

Young Living's Seed to Seal® commitment is what truly distinguishes them. This pledge signifies that, right from the outset, every aspect of the production process is meticulously overseen and managed to guarantee the attainment of the highest quality standards. In fact, I've had the opportunity to personally visit several of their farms, where I not only witnessed the planting but also actively participated in the harvesting process!

This commitment to quality is especially crucial when it comes to using essential oils with our furry friends. As an owner of dogs and horses, I understand that their safety and well-being are paramount. With Young Living™, I have the peace of mind knowing that the oils I use with my beloved animals are of exceptional quality and pure, allowing me to confidently support their overall health and vitality.

First up is three remarkable essential oil blends by Young Living™ - Puriclean™Infect Away™, and Mendwell™. Designed to be used together to support the natural healing process and soothe and support skin. It can also help moisturize dry, flaky, and irritated skin. These blends offer unique benefits and can be a wonderful addition to your dog or horse's wellness routine.

Puriclean™ is designed as the first step and to clean minor scrapes and scratches and prepare skin for the next steps. Containing powerhouse essential oils that have skin wellness properties, Puriclean™ is formulated with the essential oils of Patchouli, Lavender, Mountain Savory, Palo Santo, Cistus, Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Lavandin, and Myrtle. It's an ideal choice for maintaining your pet's overall skin health.

Next, support your companions natural defense system with Infect Away™. It can help guard against harmful contaminants while supporting the coat and skin. Formulated with Myrrh, Patchouli, Dorado Azul, Palo Santo, Ecuadorian Oregano, and Ocotea essential oil.

Last but not least, give Mendwell™ a try!  Mendwell™ is a powerful essential oil blend that aids in promoting skin recovery and soothing discomfort. It's perfect for pets that may have minor skin issues. A blend of Geranium, Lavender, Hyssop, Myrrh, and Frankincense essential oil. Mendwell™ soothes and moisturizes sensitive, dry skin, and supports your pets natural healing process. The aroma is also uplifting and promotes feelings of health and wellness.

To easily use these essential oil blends:
-Add a spray top to gently mist areas
-Add a roller fitment to roll on
-Drop directly on an area of need

All three of these blends come pre-diluted with a coconut oil derivative and can be applied directly without any further dilution. However, if you're new to using essential oils, have smaller pets, or animals with sensitivities, you may need to dilute them further.

For even more convenient dilution, simply place 8-10 drops into a 1 or 2-ounce spray bottle filled with distilled water and spray it onto the desired area. Alternatively, you can mix a drop with a dollop of coconut oil in your hand and then apply it to the area you need.

Now , let's chat about one of my favorite essential oil bends that can help promote calmness, relaxation, and was designed for emotional balance and freedom.

Introducing T-Away™:

T-Away™ is a carefully curated essential oil blend designed to support emotional well-being in our beloved pets. It can be particularly useful during any time that your dog or horse experiences emotional upset. This unique blend combines the aromatic properties of three of Young Living's™ fabulous emotional essential oil blends Trauma Life™Harmony™, and Peace & Calming™. With powerhouse emotional support oils like Tangerine, Ylang Ylang, and Cedarwood essential oils, it offers a calming, balancing, and grounding scent. It can help your pet manage occasional tension and uncomfortable feelings. It can also be particularly useful during times when your pet experiences tension from separation.

For dogs, diffuse T-Away™ during times of stress or tension, such as thunderstorms, firework season, vet visits, or times of separation. This blend is pre-diluted and can also be applied topically on your dog's chest or along the spine for an extra layer of comfort. If your dogs new to essential oils, you have smaller pets or animals with sensitivities,  it may require further dilution.

Similarly, for horses, T-Away™ can be diffused in the stable environment to create a serene and relaxing atmosphere for your equine buddies. If there is no electricity to run an ultrasonic diffuser, you can simply add a few drops to cotton balls or wooden clothespins and stash in strategic areas (out of reach of your horse). Additionally, you can make a spray bottle by adding 10-20 drops to 1-2 ounces of distilled water. Then shake well and mist onto your horse's blanket, mane, or tail. It's also useful during vet or farrier visits, as well as trailering your horse. Add a drop to your hands and offer for you horse to smell, then rub the residue on the back of your neck so you are calm and relaxed too. You can also apply to the poll or chest to help ease tension and to help them relax.

Introducing ParaGize™, a powerful essential oil blend specifically crafted to support your pets natural cleansing system. This unique blend combines the invigorating properties of Spearmint, Anise, Peppermint, Cumin, Rosemary, Juniper, Fennel, and Lemongrass essential oils, along with nurturing ingredients like Ginger and Patchouli. The resulting blend can be helpful to maintain a healthy digestive system for our dogs and horses.

I also like to use ParaGize™ to support my horses and dogs during times of digestive discomfort.
The aroma is also comforting and quieting.

I like to rub a few drops onto my dogs belly or diffuse it in a diffuser. For my horses, I like to rub several drops on their abdomen as needed, to support their digestive system during times of stress or dietary changes. Since this is also a pre-diluted blend, I apply without dilution. If your dog or horse is new to essential oils, you have smaller pets or animals with sensitivities,  you may want to further dilute it.

The Animal Scents™ Ointment is a versatile, essential oil-infused product that can help soothe and protect your pet's skin. It's excellent for moisturizing dry areas and maintaining overall skin health.
